This was the piece I exhibited for a group exhibition at Walcot chapel in Bath. The skeleton is completely free machine embroidered, the back ground digitally printed and the frame laser cut. I called him Tony :)
Only black and white threads were used, the grey areas were achieved by stitching faster so more of the black bobbin thread was pulled through the fabric mixing with the white top thread. My initial idea was to then add decorative embroidered swirls to the skeleton, but he took long enough as it is and I think he still looks charming without. :)
